Herb and Flower Tisanes

Updated: Jul 11, 2021

Most of us buy herbal teas in tea bags – it’s quick and easy.

Sometimes it is very satisfying to pick the herbs or edible flowers from your own garden. These are very simple to make, the principle is the same for them all.

Those of you who don’t mind leaves and flowers floating in your cup, you can just pop into the garden pick a couple of sprigs of your favourite herb(s) put them in a cup , pour boiling water over, leave for a few minutes to infuse – ENJOY.

If you don’t like bits floating about your cup you can get use a tea leaf infusing strainer; for this you need to chop your leaves and place them in the strainer, place the strainer in a teapot or mug and pour boiling water over it. Leave to infuse then pour into cups or take the strainer out of your mug.

Here are some I prepared earlier:

Sage and Lemon Thyme

Mint and Lemon

Mint, Lemon verbena and Rosemary

Lemon Verbena

Scented geranium Chocolate peppermint

Chamomile

Jasmine
