The basic white sauce
This little gem will be the base of a number of really quick, tasty family recipes. I will take you step by step through them one blog at a time!
In the recipe section you'll find three recipes for this sauce.
The conventional one made with a 'roux' (butter and flour mixed together and heated.)
Two simpler and quicker variations that are fat free. One with cornflour and one with 'Sauce flour'
With either of the above you can stir in butter or olive oil at the end if you wish - this gives the sauce a slightly creamier texture.
